PASTOR JAMES D. "JERRY" BRINKLEY, JR.

Elder James D. “Jerry” Brinkley, Jr. is a native of

Norfolk, Virginia and the son of Bishop & Mrs. James D. Brinkley, Sr. He attended the Norfolk Public School System, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School. He furthered his education at Norfolk State University majoring in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice.

Elder Brinkley career has focused on comprehensive mental health programs which provides psychiatrically and medically managed residential treatment for emotionally disturbed youth.

In 1985, he met, fell in love with and married Trena Machell Sparrow. From this union are two beautiful children; Christian Nicole and James III. Together, since 1993, Elder and Trena have run a daily radio ministry. The Prayer-Line Ministry is designed to encourage Christians all over the world, letting them know regardless to the situation that “Jesus Is Able!” Prayer Counselors are also available each day to receive prayer calls. God has recently blessed him to minister on a daily television broadcast.

With the leading of the Lord and the Bishop, on

August 2, 2008, Elder Brinkley was installed Senior Pastor of Holy Temple Ministries. At the present, it is his desire to fulfill the vision that the Lord gave the Bishop. He is a stickler for order and harmony operating throughout the house of the Lord.
